Catering Call Center Manager (Full-Time)
Catering by Kowalski's seeks an energetic and engaging sales manager to sell catered events, manage sales, and supervise Call Center stakeholders. As a Catering Sales Manager, you would report directly to the Director of Catering. This position is responsible for developing mar-ket segments and soliciting new customers to purchase food, beverages and services in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area.

This position generates catering sales revenue through effective sales and negotiation skills, manages a database of sales prospects and works together with Call Center staff and Event Coordinators. This is a full-time (40 hours/week) position. Approximately half of these hours (20 hours/week) would be focused on obtaining and managing sales prospects, managing the Caterease database and analyzing prospective leads. The other half (20 hours/week) would be devoted to managing staff, working with clients and entering Banquet Event Orders (BEO).

Summary of Responsibilities:

Marketing and Public Relations
• Maintains excellent customer relationships
• Maintains existing venues and obtains new venues through maintaining relationships with venue contacts
• Manages accounts to solicit past and new business to ensure all revenue goals are achieved or exceeded

Sales
• Establishes sales objectives by working with Catering Director and other key stakeholders
• Identifies, manages and assigns prospects to Event Coordinators and Call Center Staff
• Identifies ways to obtain and qualify sales leads
• Manages catering software (MS Access and Caterease) by updating cost and retail prices
• Communicates cost and retail changes and requests PLUs by communicating with stakeholders from Catering and Central Pricing
• Conducts a monthly sales analysis by producing Caterease reports and reviewing with Catering Director and other key stakeholders

Event Management
• Works with clients in every aspect of an event: first contact, menu and event planning, creating estimates and invoices, event coordination, billing and client follow-up
• Communicates and coordinates with Chef(s) on menu planning
• Communicates and coordinates with Event Coordinators and other Catering stakeholders regarding event design, rentals and staffing
• Monitors upcoming quotes and events to ensure customer needs are being met and that sales are confirmed in a timely manner
• Coordinates and communicates with drivers to ensure drivers are assigned to each delivery
• Supervises and/or participates in server scheduling for events
• Coordinates scheduling of staff photographer for catering events, new menu items, and other photos as needed for public relations, website and social media purposes

Administrative
• Creates invoices; collects deposits and final payments; manages deposits
• Processes payments and maintains accurate filing systems
• Works with Catering Director and Accounting stakeholders to ensure bookkeeping is accurate
• Adheres to company policies on the security of credit card information, insuring PCI compliance
• Supervises Call Center Staff and creates weekly schedule to ensure the Call Center is adequately staffed as determined by company needs and workload
• Works with appropriate Catering stakeholder(s) to develop the Menu Manager (Caterease) on all recipes
• Supervises the ordering of catering and office supplies
• Produces evidence that work is being conducted in a civic manner, using the principles of the Minnesota Active Citizenship Initiative
• Other projects as assigned
