FILLED ACORN SQUASH
Look for heat-and-eat brown sugar-sprinkled Baked Acorn Squash in the Deli Department. Just warm in the oven or microwave and serve filled with Village Harvest Whole Grain Creations (in the Frozen Foods Department) for a stunning and delicious side dish. To prepare squash yourself, cut them in half and seed them; coat flesh lightly with oil. Season with salt and pepper and roast on a parchment-lined baking sheet in a preheated 450° oven until browned and tender. The cooking time will vary significantly depending mainly on how large the halves are (small pieces may take 25 minutes or so, while bigger ones may take 50-60 minutes or more).
CLASSIC CAESAR SALAD
Toss chopped, washed romaine lettuce with Kowalski's Creamy Caesar Dressing, prepared croutons, freshly grated Parmesan cheese and freshly cracked black pepper. Prepared croutons are available in the Bakery Department.
