You're Invited for Dinner

Whether it's a holiday or just an excuse to get together, having a go-to menu each season of the year makes entertaining something to look forward to rather than a chore. Eating foods at the peak of their season is a trend we embrace, so we have put together a winter menu for four that can be adjusted to fit a group of just about any size.
Greet your guests with a chilled martini that combines the flavors of cranberry juice, lime and orange, sipped from a citrus sugar-rimmed glass.
We love our all natural pork and use it as the focal point of this menu, encasing juicy pork tenderloin in flakey puff pastry and topping it with a red wine reduction sauce. Sweet potatoes and Yukon Golds are sliced and shingled in the pan for a simple preparation that is topped with nutty Gruyère cheese and just a hint of fresh thyme. We roast beautiful green broccoli florets to bring out the natural sweetness of this good-for-you vegetable and give it just a touch of crispness. You'll wonder why you never prepared broccoli this way before! We add our take on the popular wedge salad with a slice of romaine lettuce, apples, pomegranate seeds and a lightly sweetened dressing to pull all the flavors together.
If you are a chocolate lover, you won't want to miss dessert. We've created a brownie tart with a touch of espresso and the crunch of filberts. We top it with a scoop of coffee ice cream and simple-to-make chocolate sauce. You're sure to receive many thanks and requests for your recipes when you use our menu for seasonal entertaining.
Stop by The Wine Shop at our Woodbury, Uptown, Oak Park Heights and Eagan markets for wine suggestions to serve with this or any menu. It is the finishing touch to a meal that your guests will surely enjoy.
