Bold Colors for your Winter Plate
Posted: Wednesday, February 1, 2012
If your palate needs a kick in the palette, it might be time to pep up the gray days of winter with some bright, bold hues – a plate full of vegetables! In addition to being beautiful, colorful produce is good for you – and a healthy you is a happy you. We have a veritable rainbow for you to pick from in every one of our nine markets – peppers, artichokes, turnips, sweet potatoes, mushrooms, greens, squash, carrots, cabbage and many more! Try them in salads to give your body a bit of summer in a bowl, or dive into a warming bowl of soup or savory stir fry. Both of these warm-weather foods are great canvases for this fresh, artful bounty.
