Strip Steak and Mushrooms
BORDELAISE MARINATED STRIP STEAK
This meaty cut is a great choice, especially when paired with some simple sautéed mushrooms. Just toss any variety of clean, sliced mushrooms in a hot skillet with a bit of olive oil. Stir until they’re dark golden on the edges and nicely tender. Season with Kowalski’s California Sea Salt and Kowalski’s Whole Black Peppercorns, both freshly ground.
Rub clean potatoes with coarse salt. Bake in a preheated 400° oven until tender when pierced with a fork (about 1-1 ½ hrs., depending on size).
PINEAPPLE WITH ANCHO CHILE HONEY
Drizzle fresh pineapple spears or your favorite fresh fruit with warm honey blended with a touch of ancho chile powder. Serve with vanilla or coconut Bistro Meringues, a gluten-free cookie alternative available in the Bakery Department.
