ONE OF SUMMERS TREATS… LOCALLY GROWN SWEET CORN
We have heard it said that you should put the water on to boil before you harvest the corn, the reason being that the sugar in the kernels of traditional corn varieties starts turning into starch as soon as the ears are picked.  Since that’s the case, we can’t wait for the Minnesota sweet corn to come to market, and we look to local grower Jerry Untiedt of Untiedt Farms to provide us with the freshest corn available.
