WHAT’S A HEDGEBALL? This time of year, you might come across a basket of lumpy green balls in the Produce Department that look just a little unusual. It’s not a new fruit, but a “Hedgeball”! This lime green, heavy, round, softball-sized fruit has an almost brain-like pattern on the outside. It is not edible for humans, but is sold because some people think it may help repel insects in the home. According to what we could find, the results are inconclusive. If insects are a problem in your basement or garage, give it a try and see for yourself!

APPLE CIDER The newest addition to our signature products line is Kowalski’s 100% Pure Apple Cider. We turned to Fireside Orchard and Gardens in Northfield MN, a local company that was founded 35 years ago by Robert Harvey when he began selling apples off a picnic table in his front yard. Today, Robert and his son Todd operate the orchard, along with a retail store that offers a variety of apples and related products.Full Story.
