Family Hot Chocolate Mix

Very Easy
Makes about 50 servings
This old recipe makes a great hostess gift when packaged in pint jars and decorated with seasonal trimmings.
Ingredients: 
  • 24 oz. instant nonfat dry milk
  • 16 oz. dry hot chocolate powder
  • 1 ½ cups nondairy powdered creamer
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
Instructions: 

Combine all ingredients in a large container; store tightly covered. In a large mug, add 1/4 cup mix to 1 cup boiling water, stirring to combine.

VARIATIONS:

  • For Minty Hot Chocolate, top each mug of hot chocolate with Real Whipped Cream Reddi-wip; shave Andes Crème de Menthe Thins with a vegetable peeler over whipped cream.
  • For Turtle Hot Chocolate, top each mug of hot chocolate with Real Whipped Cream Reddi-wip; drizzle with chocolate and caramel ice cream topping and chopped pecans.
  • For Cinnamon Hot Chocolate, top each mug of hot chocolate with Real Whipped Cream Reddi-wip; sprinkle with ground cinnamon.
  • For Mocha Hot Chocolate, top each mug of hot chocolate with Real Whipped Cream Reddi-wip; sprinkle with instant espresso powder.
