Heirloom Tomatoes with Fresh Basil Dressing

  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • - juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • - kosher salt and coarse ground black pepper, to taste
  • 6-8 heirloom tomatoes, thickly sliced
  • 2 oz. fresh basil, thinly sliced

In a small bowl, whisk together oil, lemon juice and sugar; season to taste. Pour over tomatoes and basil on a serving platter; cover loosely with plastic wrap and let stand at room temperature 30 min. before serving.
