HR Benefits Specialist for St. Paul Area (Full Time)

We are a growing privately owned company seeking a dynamic and outgoing detail-oriented self-starter to join our accounting team. This individual will primarily be responsible for benefits coordination, from benefits enrollment meetings and administration to benefits support for our employees. More specifically, duties will include:

  • Administering all benefit plans, including enrolling employees, benefit change requests, benefits termination and COBRA administration
  • Being the first point of contact for all employees in regards to benefit inquiries
  • Benefit and labor cost analytics
  • Coordinating benefits reporting
  • Compliance management
  • Company benefit communications, written and verbally
  • Enrollment meetings in conjunction with plan advisory partners
  • Unemployment claim management
  • Retirement/401(k) plan support.

The ideal candidate will be someone who can function well within a small department; can present benefits and work with employees in an effective manner; has strong verbal and written communication skills; and can anticipate situations well. This candidate must be extremely detail-oriented, organized and able to effectively manage their time well. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Power Point) is required. A two-year accounting, business or HR degree, or 1–2 years of equivalent experience is preferred.

This is a salaried position with full benefits, including health/dental coverage, disability insurance, life insurance, 401(k) retirement/profit sharing plan, paid holidays and vacation/PTO pay.

Cashier (Part Time)

Efficiently process customer orders; scan items; process several forms of payment; develop memorizations skills; and carefully package groceries. Strong customer service skills required. No experience needed.

Deli Department (Part Time)

Emphasis in this position is on providing prompt, courteous, and accurate service to customers. Primary learning challenge includes knowledge of Deli procedures, food safety, presentation standards, safe operation of Deli equipment, and proper preparation of product. Position requires ongoing to moderate to heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.), walking, standing, operation of Deli equipment (slicers, scales, and knives), and exposure to hot surfaces and oils. Must have superior social, judgment and decision-making skills, reading, writing, and math skills. Position functions and work direction are provided by the Deli Manager, Deli Supervisor, Manager on Duty, or Store Manager. Ideal candidates would have a willingness and desire to be trained and work as backup evening hot foods cook.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Available to schedule 20-30 hours/week
  • Looking to fill afternoon and evening shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Food-handling experience preferred but not required

Morning Baker (Part Time)

Seeking long term (available year round) employees for a fast-paced, multitask-oriented position where strong customer service skills are required. Ability to meet and exceed standards for productivity, freshness standards, as well as accuracy with adherence to product quality, stocking, facing, and rotation; at times, working independently without supervision.

  • Available to work 16-24 hours/week
  • Available to work 3 a.m. to 11 a.m., including weekends and holidays
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to regularly lift sheet pans of product at or above shoulder level
  • Food handling experience is preferred but not necessary

Bakery Department (Part Time)

Meat Department Helper (Part Time)

Emphasis in this position is on providing prompt, courteous and accurate service to customers as well as proper preparation and display of product. Primary learning challenge is in product knowledge, case sets, tray assembly and equipment use. Position requires ongoing moderate to heavy lifting, walking, standing, operation of meat equipment, exposure to hot surfaces and oils, social skills, judgment/decision-making, reading, writing and math. Position functions and work direction are provided by the Meat Manager or Manager on Duty.

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Available to work up to 24 hours/week, including weekends and holidays
  • Able to meet standards of productivity, freshness, product quality, stocking, facing and rotation

Deli Department (Part Time)

Primary learning challenge is in product knowledge, executing proper preparation of salads, sandwiches, meals, and display of product in the Deli case. Position requires standing/walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs.) excellent decision making and social skills, and miscellaneous duties. Position functions and work discretion are provided by the Deli Manager, Deli Supervisor, or Store Manager.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Available to work evenings, including weekends and holidays
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Food-handling experience preferred but not required

Deli Department Hot Foods Chef (Part Time)

Starbucks Barista (Part Time)

Emphasis in this position is in serving our customers with the "Starbucks Experience." You will be given the skills needed to accurately create handmade, custom beverages for our customers, while providing a warm, clean, and friendly atmosphere. Assignments and work direction provided by Store Manager or Starbucks Manager.

Requirements:

  • 2 positions available - Available to work 15 hours/week between the hours of 12 p.m. and 7 p.m. or available to work 30 hours/week between the hours of 12 p.m. and 8 p.m.
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays
