Bakery Department (Part Time)

Seeking long term (available year round) employees for a fast-paced, multitask-oriented position where strong customer service skills are required. Ability to meet and exceed standards for productivity, freshness standards, as well as accuracy with adherence to product quality, stocking, facing, and rotation; at times, working independently without supervision.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Flexible hours ranging from 11am to 8pm
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Interest in preparing, handling and baking food 
  • Interest in product knowledge
  • Ability to regularly lift sheet pans of product at or above shoulder level
  • Food handling experience is preferred but not necessary

Baker (Part Time)

Deli Department (Part Time)

Seeking a long term (available year-round) employee for a fast-paced, multitask-oriented position where strong customer service skills are required as the emphasis in this position is on providing prompt, courteous, and accurate service to customers. Primary learning challenges include knowledge of Deli procedures, food safety and sanitization, presentation standards, safe operation of Deli equipment, and proper preparation of product. Position requires ongoing moderate to heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.), walking, standing, bending, operation of Deli equipment (slicers, scales, and knives), and exposure to hot surfaces and oils. Must have superior social, judgment and decision-making skills, reading, writing, and math skills. Position functions and work directions are provided by the Deli Manager, Deli Supervisor, Manager on Duty, or Store Manager. Ideal candidates would have a willingness and desire to be trained and work as backup morning or evening hot foods cook.

Dishwasher (Part Time)

Seeking a long term (available year-round) employee for a fast-paced, multitask-oriented position. Emphasis in this position is keeping the dishes clean and organized. Position requires ongoing to moderate to heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.), walking, standing, operation of Deli equipment and exposure to hot surfaces. Position functions and work direction are provided by the Deli Manager, Deli Supervisor, Manager on Duty, or Store Manager. 

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Flexible to schedule 15-20 hours/week
  • Looking to fill morning shifts, including weekends and holidays

Cashier & Courtesy (Part Time)

Seeking a long term (available year-round) daytime employee for a fast-paced, multitask-oriented position where strong customer service skills are required. Efficiently process customer orders; scan items; process several forms of payment; develop memorization skills; and carefully package groceries. No experience needed.

Requirements:

  • Flexible to schedule start times between 6am, 12pm and 2pm, working 4-8 hour shifts
  • Ability to work in and enjoy a fast-paced environment
  • High level of direct customer service
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask
  • Self-motivated and energetic 

 

Deli Department Hot Foods Chef (Part Time)

Emphasis in this position involves providing prompt, courteous, and accurate service to customers. Primary learning challenge is in product knowledge, executing proper preparation of salads, sandwiches, meals, and display of product in the Deli case. Position requires standing/walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs.) excellent decision making and social skills, and miscellaneous duties. Position functions and work discretion are provided by the Deli Manager, Deli Supervisor, or Store Manager.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Available to work nights or mornings, weekends and holidays
  • Attention to detail
  • Food-handling experience preferred
  • Must be available year round 

Starbucks Barista (Part-Time)

Seeking long term (available year-round) employees. Emphasis in this position is in serving our customers with the "Starbucks Experience." You will be given the skills needed to accurately create handmade, custom beverages for our customers while providing a warm, clean, and friendly atmosphere. 

Requirements:

  • Flexible to schedule early morning, 5am start time
  • Available to work 15-28 hrs/week, including weekends and holidays
  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Experience is preferred but not required 

Meat Clerk (Part Time)

Calling all meat and seafood lovers. Kowalski’s is looking for meat enthusiasts who want a chance to work with the highest quality meat programs in the country.  We will teach you how to cut meat, grind burger and various cooking techniques all while receiving a 20% discount on the best meat raised in the USA.  Prior experience in working with food is great but not required. We’re looking for career minded people with a passion for great food.

Emphasis in this position is providing prompt, courteous, and accurate service to customers while executing proper preparation and display of product in the cheese area. Primary learning challenge is in product knowledge and case sets. Position requires standing/walking, excellent decision making, social skills, and some occasional light duties in the Deli. Position functions and work discretion are provided by the Specialty Cheese Director, Specialty Cheese Manager, or Store Manager.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Interested in cheese and demos
  • Self-motivated and energetic
  • Flexible to schedule and available to work weekends and holidays
  • Ability to meet standards of productivity, freshness, product quality, stocking, facing and rotation
  • Culinary experience is preferred but not necessary
