Meat Department (Part-time and Full-time)

Kowalski’s is looking for meat enthusiasts who want a chance to work with the highest quality meat programs in the country.  We will teach you how to cut meat, grind burger and various cooking techniques all while receiving a 20% discount on the best meat raised in the USA. Prior experience in working with food is great but not required. We’re looking for career minded people with a passion for great food.

We are seeking a long term (available year-round) employee for a fast-paced, multitask-oriented position where strong customer service skills are required. Emphasis in this position is on providing prompt, courteous, and accurate service to customers. Primary learning challenges include knowledge of Meat Department procedures, food safety, presentation standards, safe operation of department equipment (slicers, scales and knives), and proper preparation of product. Position requires ongoing moderate to heavy lifting (up to 70 lbs.), walking, and standing. Must have superior social, judgment and decision-making skills, reading, writing, and math skills. Position functions and work directions are provided by the Meat Department Manager, Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Flexible to schedule 30 to 39hours/week
  • Looking to fill evening/closing shifts between the hours of 12pm and 8pm
  • Holiday and weekend availability
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Interest in meat product knowledge
  • Food-handling experience preferred but not required

Wine Shop (Part Time)

Seeking a long term (available year-round) employee for a fast-paced, multitask-oriented position where strong customer service skills are required. Efficiently process customer orders, receive and stock wine, spirits and beer, knowledge of various wines and spirits offered and assist customers in food and beverage pairings. No experience needed.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Can work 15 hours a week with flexible scheduling
  • Available weekends and some holidays
  • High level of direct customer service
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Deli Department (Part Time & Full Time)

Our deli teams are built by customer service driven employees who have a passion for serving high-quality and sustainable products to our customers. Our team also enjoys educating our customers on our products by making culinary suggestions during purchases and providing sustainable, quality food. At Kowalski’s, we believe that this service-oriented and educational atmosphere are the keys that keep our customers wanting to come back again and again.

Our full-service deli departments are stocked with premium delicatessen meats and cheeses that are sliced to order. We serve hot meals cooked fresh, daily, in our kitchen. Customers also have the option to serve themselves from our grab-and-go cases, including the self-service soup and salad bars.

There is no experience required! Kowalski’s finds value in investing in our employees by providing person to person, in-depth training. These trainings educate our stakeholders on how to not only perform their jobs quickly, safely and efficiently, but also our civic business model. Dishwasher (Part Time)

Seeking a long term (available year-round) employee for a fast-paced, multitask-oriented position. Emphasis in this position is keeping the dishes clean and organized. Position requires ongoing to moderate to heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.), walking, standing, operation of Deli equipment and exposure to hot surfaces. Position functions and work direction are provided by the Deli Manager, Deli Supervisor, Manager on Duty, or Store Manager. 

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Flexible to schedule 15-30 hours/week
  • Looking to fill day and evening shifts, including weekends and holidays

Cashier & Courtesy (Part Time)

Seeking a long term (available year-round) daytime employee for a fast-paced, multitask-oriented position where strong customer service skills are required. Efficiently process customer orders; scan items; process several forms of payment; develop memorization skills; and carefully package groceries. No experience needed.

Requirements:

  • Flexible to schedule start times between 6am, 12pm and 2pm, working 4-8 hour shifts
  • Ability to work in and enjoy a fast-paced environment
  • High level of direct customer service
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask
  • Self-motivated and energetic 

Deli Department Hot Foods Chef (Part Time)

Emphasis in this position involves providing prompt, courteous, and accurate service to customers. Primary learning challenge is in product knowledge, executing proper preparation of salads, sandwiches, meals, and display of product in the Deli case. Position requires standing/walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs.) excellent decision making and social skills, and miscellaneous duties. Position functions and work discretion are provided by the Deli Manager, Deli Supervisor, or Store Manager.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Available to work nights or mornings, weekends and holidays
  • Attention to detail
  • Food-handling experience preferred
  • Must be available year round 

Starbucks Barista (Part-Time)

Seeking long term (available year-round) employees. Emphasis in this position is in serving our customers with the "Starbucks Experience." You will be given the skills needed to accurately create handmade, custom beverages for our customers while providing a warm, clean, and friendly atmosphere. 

Requirements:

  • Flexible to schedule, looking to fill early morning, afternoon and evening shifts
  • Available to work 15-28 hrs/week, including weekends and holidays
  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Experience is not required
