Juicy Bacon Blue Burgers

Ingredients

4 slices Kowalski's Smoked Bacon
½ sweet onion, sliced
1 lb. Kowalski's Certified Humane 86% Lean Fresh Ground Beef
- Kowalski's Signature Northwoods Grill Seasoning (from the Meat Department), as needed
⅓ cup Kowalski's Original BBQ Sauce
4 oz. Kowalski's Blue Cheese Crumbles
4 Kowalski's Hamburger Buns (from the Bakery Department)
- Bibb lettuce, to taste

Directions
  1. In a large skillet, cook bacon until slightly crisp (5-7 min.); drain on paper towels.
  2. Add onion to bacon drippings; sauté until onion is tender (3-5 min.). Drain; keep warm.
  3. Preheat grill to medium heat; clean grill grates.
  4. Using clean hands, form beef into 4 patties; sprinkle patties evenly on both sides with grill seasoning.
  5. Grill patties over direct heat, covered, to an internal temperature of 160° (10-15 min.), turning once and brushing each side with a bit of BBQ sauce. Top with cheese crumbles during last 2 min. of grilling.
  6. Toast buns on grill rack, cut side down, until lightly browned (1-2 min.).
  7. Line bottom half of buns with lettuce; top each with a burger.
  8. Top with sautéed onion, bacon and top buns; serve immediately.
