Italian Meatballs
Ingredients
⅔ cup
plain breadcrumbs
2 ½ tbsp.
Italian Seasoning
¾ cup
milk
1 lb.
93% lean ground beef
½ lb.
ground pork
1
egg
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400°.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together breadcrumbs and Italian seasoning.
- Stir in milk; let stand for 10 min.
- Add meat and egg; using your hands, thoroughly mix until well blended (do not overmix).
- Using slightly wet hands, form meat mixture into 20-22 (1 ¾" to 2") balls.
- Arrange meatballs on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet; bake in preheated oven until done (about 25 min.).
- Serve as an appetizer or use them in your favorite pasta dish, such as our recipe for Simple Spaghetti and Meatballs.
Tasty Tip:
- Meatballs can be arranged in a single layer and frozen for up to 2 months. To serve, thaw for up to 36 hrs. in the refrigerator.
