Chermoula

Chermoula

Makes about ¼ cup

Ingredients

1 ½ tsp. minced fresh garlic
½ tsp. kosher salt, plus more to taste
⅓ cup finely chopped fresh cilantro
⅓ cup finely chopped fresh Italian parsley
1 tsp. ground cumin
1 tsp. paprika
1 pinch cayenne pepper
2 tbsp. Kowalski's Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 tbsp. Kowalski's Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice (from the Produce Department)

Directions
  1. On a clean cutting board, mash garlic and salt with a fork to form a paste.
  2. Sprinkle with cilantro and parsley; finely chop until almost a paste.
  3. Transfer to a small bowl; stir in cumin, paprika and cayenne.
  4. Stir in oil and lemon juice; add additional salt to taste.
  5. Store in the refrigerator, covered, for up to 2 days. Allow chermoula to come to room temperature before use.
