Gourmet Banana Pudding
5 bananas, sliced, divided
2 boxes (3.4 oz. each) Jell-O Instant Vanilla Pudding and Pie Filling, prepared
according to pkg. directions
16-20 A Gourmet Thyme Too Lemon Thyme Shortbread Cookies (from the Bakery
Department), crumbled, plus a few extra whole cookies, for garnish
2 cups Sweetened Whipped Cream, divided
2-3 tsp. fresh thyme leaves, divided, plus stems for garnish
- Kowalski’s Dried Banana Chips, for garnish
Reserve a few banana slices for garnish. Layer 1/2 of the prepared pudding, 1/2 of the crumbled cookies and 1/2 of the banana slices in a 2 qt. glass trifle bowl or 8 individual 8 oz. parfait glasses; sprinkle with about 1/2 of the thyme leaves. Top with remaining pudding, remaining bananas, Sweetened Whipped Cream and remaining crumbled cookies. Garnish with reserved banana slices, whole cookies, banana chips and remaining thyme leaves and stems.
Note: Substitute two recipes of Vanilla Pastry Cream for the Jell-O Pudding, if desired.
