Basic Stir Fry Sauce

Makes about 3/4 cup

Ingredients: 
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 tbsp. tamari
  • 1 tbsp. seasoned rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp. grated, peeled fresh ginger
  • 1 tbsp. superfine sugar
  • 2 tsp. pressed fresh garlic (about 2 cloves, peeled and crushed with a garlic press)
  • 1 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1 tsp. Asian sesame oil
  • - Asian hot sauce (such as Sriracha) or crushed red pepper flakes to taste, if desired
Instructions: 

In a glass measuring cup, whisk together all ingredients. Add to a stir fry in last 2 min. of cooking.
