Apple Sausage Cornbread Dressing

Serves 8-12
1/2 cup butter
1 lb. pork sausage
1 1/2 cups chopped celery (3 ribs)
3/4 cup finely chopped onion
3 cups peeled, chopped apples
8 cups cornbread cubes (2 Kowalski's Cornbread cut into cubes, dried for 48 hrs. at room temperature)
3/4 tsp. rubbed sage
3/4 tsp. dried thyme
1/4 tsp. Kowalski's Cracked Black Pepper
1/2 cup organic free-range chicken broth

In large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in sausage, celery, onion and apples; cook until sausage is no longer pink (about 15 min.). In large bowl, thoroughly combine bread cubes and seasonings. Stir in sausage mixture and broth until moistened; spoon into a buttered 2 1/2 qt. casserole. Bake in a preheated 325° oven until heated through (45-55 min.).
