Yola Jimenez of Yola Mezcal

Yola Jimenez is a force in the world of mezcal, tequila's long-underappreciated cousin. Due in no small part to her efforts and passion, what was considered for generations as a lesser, unrefined drink is now having more than a moment.

Yola Mezcal is a handcrafted spirit made in Oaxaca, Mexico, using a family recipe passed down to Yola by her grandfather. It's made with organic agave harvested on her family farm. Unfailingly traditional, the agave is roasted for 4-8 days in earthen conical ovens, then stone-ground and fermented by ambient yeast in the open air. It's then twice distilled to add rich flavor and aromas.

Yola Mezcal opens with striking flavors of pepper and citrus that give way to a soothing, smoky finish. Its exceptional balance makes it ideal for a range of inspired cocktails.

What makes Yola Mezcal especially unique is that it is owned, produced and bottled by an all-female team. Yola's business model is committed to creating economic independence for indigenous women, and her distillery employs only local women at a fair wage.

Patricia Ortiz

Patricia Ortiz is the owner and president of Fincas Patagónicas, a family-owned business consisting of three wineries (Tapiz, Zolo and Wapisa) and nine sustainably farmed vineyards in different parts of Argentina. She is the first female president of Bodegas de Argentina and a celebrated leader in Argentine wine with several awards throughout her career.

In 2022, La Nación, Argentina's most renowned newspaper, nominated Patricia for her groundbreaking work as a successful and acclaimed woman leader of the wine industry in Argentina. Using regenerative farming techniques, Patricia and her team aim to produce the best wines possible using estate-grown grapes.

Alexa Fitzpatrick
of Jayded AF Cocktails

Local cocktail visionary Alexa Jayde Fitzpatrick opened Jayded AF in 2023 with a mission to redefine the paradigms of the liquor industry. Born in Britain of Nigerian descent, Alexa later brought her love of the eclectic and unbridled imagination to Minneapolis. She is known for her ready-to-drink gin-based martinis made with all natural flavors and locally sourced ingredients.

Jayded AF's Ready-to-Drink Lavender Martini excites the senses with its delightful purple hue and vibrant floral flavors, ending naturally on sweet notes of mandarin orange. Lemon Drop Martini is a sophisticated blend of deliciously tart Meyer lemons, juniper berries and triple sec. Both are made with real gin and all natural flavors.
