When disabled Army veteran Mitchell Hoyt first started making maple syrup in 2008, he noticed that the flavor profile of his syrup varied from forest to forest and from day to day during the production season. Wanting others to experience the wonderful diversity of this natural food product, Mitchell and his wife, Christine, started Skinny Sticks' Maple Syrup in Central Wisconsin. Skinny Sticks' produces and purchases premium Wisconsin maple syrup and bottles it unblended. Keeping the syrup unblended has paid off, as their products are now sold throughout most of the United States.
