Peterson Craft Meats
Peterson Craft Meats
Peterson Craft Meats is a family-owned farm that has been stewarding the fertile St. Croix Valley for five generations. Through the years, their #1 goal has remained consistent: farming together with integrity as they pass down their heritage and knowledge to the next generation.
The Peterson family raises and markets heritage-bred livestock with a focus on quality, animal care and environmental stewardship. They believe in raising livestock as nature intended, taking what the land gives without taking it for granted. Guided by regenerative agricultural practices – including crop rotation and nutrient recycling, rotational grazing and thoughtful soil and water stewardship – they work to build the soils of the St. Croix Valley, improve biodiversity and care for their land for future generations.
Peterson Craft Meats' uncured bacon is hardwood smoked in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. Made with real, simple ingredients like raw local honey and 100% Wisconsin maple syrup, it delivers rich, authentic flavor with no added nitrates. The Petersons free-raise their hogs in spacious outdoor pens with natural forage, allowing them to root and roam as they would in the wild. In winter, the animals are sheltered in pens with deep bedding and fed a diet of small grains and recycled restaurant food, resulting in high-quality pork that reflects thoughtful animal care from start to finish.
