Smoked Ham with Maple Honey Mustard Glaze

Juicy smoked ham is brushed with a sweet and savory maple-honey mustard glaze that caramelizes beautifully as it bakes for a rich, flavorful finish.

Kowalski's Signature Berkshire Smoked Bone-In Ham

1 cup
Kowalski's Signature Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice, divided
1 ½ cups
Kowalski's Pure Honey
½ cup
Kowalski's Pure Maple Syrup
½ cup
Dijon mustard
1 tsp.
crushed red pepper flakes
1 tsp.
freshly ground Kowalski's Black Peppercorns
- Kowalski’s Mustard (any variety), for serving (optional)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Score ham diagonally, making ¼" deep cuts; score in opposite direction to form a diamond pattern.
- Arrange ham fat-side up on a rack set in a roasting pan. Add water to pan; bake in preheated oven for 30 min.
- Remove from oven; pour ½ cup orange juice into roasting pan.
- In a small mixing bowl, combine honey, syrup, remaining orange juice, mustard, crushed red pepper and black pepper.
- Brush ½ of the glaze over ham; continue baking, basting frequently with pan juices and brushing with remaining glaze, until internal temperature registers 140° (1-1 ½ hrs.).
- Remove ham from oven; let rest for 15 min., basting frequently with pan juices.
- Slice ham; drizzle with pan juices, if desired, or serve with mustard for drizzling, dipping or spreading on ham sandwiches.
Tasty Tip:
- Freeze the leftover ham bone for later use in soups, stocks or beans.
