Slice baguette ¾" thick on the diagonal. Brush one side of each baguette slice with olive oil; season with salt and pepper, if desired. Arrange bread in a single layer on a baking sheet; bake in a preheated 350° oven for 5 min. Turn; continue baking for 2 min. more. Remove crostini from oven; set aside until ready to use.
