Cooking King Crab Legs



To BROIL or GRILL king crab legs: Arrange thawed legs on a broiler pan or grill rack 4" from heat source. Cook, turning once, until heated through (10-15 min.).

To STEAM king crab legs: Arrange thawed legs in a shallow baking pan. Add just enough hot water to pan to cover bottom; cover tightly with foil. Bake in a preheated 450° oven until heated through (8-10 min.).

Tasty Tips:

  • Purchase ¾ to 1 lb. of crab legs per person.
  • 4 lbs. of crab legs will yield 1 lb. of cooked crabmeat.

CLARIFIED (DRAWN) BUTTER: In a small saucepan over low heat, slowly melt desired amount of butter. Remove from heat and let stand until the clear part can be spooned off into a serving dish (2-3 min.); discard milky solids. Serve warm.
