Enjoy your stone fruit of choice with a little char! The tender, luscious flesh is delicious on its own but equally great in salads, on flatbreads, or paired with a sweet counterpart like whipped cream or ice cream.
Ingredients
- ripe peaches, nectarines or plums, halved and pitted
- cooking spray or canola oil, for misting or brushing the fruit
Directions
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat; clean grill grates.
- Mist or lightly brush cut sides of fruit with oil; grill over direct heat, cut-side down, until dark grill marks form (about 2 min.).
- Flip fruit; cook to desired tenderness (up to 5 min.).
Find It!
- Stone fruit is generally available in the Produce Department from May through August, weather permitting.
Tasty Tip:
- Choose ripe, but not overripe fruit for best results.
