Directions
  1. Preheat grill to high heat; clean grill grates.
  2. Trim ends of banana bread; save for another use. Slice remaining loaf into 1 ½" slices.
  3. Spread ½ tsp. butter on both sides of each bread slice; sprinkle each side with ½ tsp. brown sugar.
  4. Turn off one side of the grill (or move coals to one side); place bread on the cooler side. Grill bread over indirect heat, lid down, until dark grill marks form and bread releases easily from grill grates (about 3 min.).
  5. Flip bread; cook until dark grill marks form on opposite side (2-3 min. more).
  6. Remove bread from heat; serve with desired garnishes.

Tasty Tip:

  • The bread should release easily from the grill grates after about 3 min. If it sticks when you try to flip it, it's not ready.
