Maggie's Maltagliati (Dessert Pasta)
Ingredients
½ of a 12 oz. pkg.
Kowalski's Fresh Lasagna Noodles, cut into irregular shapes
2 tbsp.
Kowalski's Unsalted Butter
½
tart apple, julienned
1 recipe
Cinnamon Sugar, to taste
- garnishes, to taste: toasted pine nuts, finely minced fresh rosemary and freshly grated lemon zest
Directions
Prepare pasta according to pkg. directions. Meanwhile, melt butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat; sauté apple until just tender (1-2 min.). As soon as pasta is done, drain and add to skillet; toss to evenly coat. Sprinkle with Cinnamon Sugar to taste. Serve immediately with desired garnishes.
CINNAMON SUGAR: In a small mixing bowl, whisk together 1/4 cup sugar, 2 tsp. ground cinnamon and a pinch each of salt, ground cloves, ground nutmeg and ground allspice.
