Sesame-Soy Meatballs
Ingredients
⅓ cup
low-sodium soy sauce
3 tbsp.
toasted sesame oil
3 tbsp.
brown sugar
2 tbsp.
chile-garlic paste
1 bunch
thinly sliced green onions (green and white parts)
4 cloves
garlic, finely minced
¼ cup
breadcrumbs
1
egg, lightly beaten
1 lb.
ground pork
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400°.
- In a small mixing bowl, whisk together first 6 ingredients (through garlic).
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together ½ cup soy sauce mixture, breadcrumbs and egg; mix in pork.
- Using damp hands, shape pork mixture into 16 evenly sized meatballs; place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake meatballs in preheated oven until done (about 15 min.).
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add cooked meatballs and remaining sauce to the pan; cook and stir until sauce thickens and glazes the meatballs (2-3 min.). Serve immediately.
